I am a licensed clinical social worker with
Master degree in psychology from the Moscow State University,
Russia and Master degree in social work from the Hunter
College, NY. I have completed a professional training program
at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's' Services and
graduated from the Advanced Training Institute in Child
and Family Therapy at JBFCS.
I have over twenty-six years of professional
experience in clinical research, teaching and practice including
individual, family and group psychotherapy, consultation,
psychological testing and supervision of M.S.W.-level clinicians
and graduate social work students. Additionally I have twenty-three
years of experience in the assessment and treatment of émigrés
and refugees from the former Soviet Union and other countries,
as well as in teaching and writing on clinical and cultural
aspect of the immigrant experiences. In my private practice
I conduct psycho-social evaluations including diagnosis,
recommendations and referrals and provide child and family
therapy helping families, including families with adopted
children, to cope with the emotionally charged and complicated
period of adaptation.
