I came from St. Petersburg, Russia in 1992,
where I graduated from the State Pedagogical University
with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Special
Education.
I was raised in a family where both grandparents were teachers-
my grandmother was a famous doctor of education and professor,
who created and formulated her theory of social-cultural
development of children in Soviet education. The influence
of my ancestors led me to follow closely in their footsteps
and pursue education.
In the US, I graduated from Columbia University, Teachers
College with a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language
Pathology. I have twenty years of combined therapeutic experience
in Russia and the United States.
My area of expertise is child's language development,
with specialization in providing comprehensive diagnostic
evaluation and therapeutic services for bilingual children
and/or for children who have been adopted internationally.
I consult parents and caregivers on specific recommendations
and carry-over therapeutic techniques and strategies to
enhance language, speech, cognitive, and swallowing development
of their children.
I hold the following qualifications:
- New York State License
- New Jersey State License
- New Jersey Department of Education Certificate
- New York State Approval of Individual
Evaluations & Service Providers
- Certificate of Clinical Competence of
the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
