This training session
addresses academic, psychological and social issues families face
when adopting an older child (over age 4). Explore how early foster
care and institutional experiences affect a childs cognitive
and social interactions. Then, learn how to assist families in
pre-adoption preparation and post-adoption advocacy to enhance
their child and familys adjustment, and increase the childs
learning and social capacities.
